We are running to give the students at The University of Texas at Austin something to believe in. Throughout our time at the university, we have seen the manner in which the larger student body continues to be exceedingly disconnected from student government. While we both travel in different spaces, our varying struggles and experiences while at the university have inspired us to serve as bridge builders between the student body and student government. We are aware of how institutions set in place at the university do not work for all students, and we are seeking to work on initiatives that aim to bring equity to all students on the Forty Acres. We intend to use our platform to amplify the needs of all students, from working on financial aid equity, to working on the expansion of mental health services on campus, increasing accessibility to necessary reproductive resources, and much more. We have both been given the opportunities to serve in different capacities within SG, and we are ready to bring our intentionality to the forefront. Our campaign is about bringing students together to empower one another. This campaign is something to believe in; you are something to believe in.
